Strabag needed to streamline the process of confirming on-time payments to its subcontractors. These confirmations are crucial for investors, who expect regular evidence that financial obligations are being met. Previously, the process was manual, time-consuming, and error-prone, requiring staff to log into online banking, download payment confirmations, and send them individually to investors.

Scope of automation

With SAIO Robotics, almost the entire process has been automated – except for the single step of logging into ING Business Online, which is still performed by a Treasury employee. After login, the robot downloads payment confirmations for designated subcontractor accounts, identifies the relevant projects based on transfer titles, prepares emails with appropriate descriptions, and sends them to investors at predefined addresses. The process runs automatically, without further employee involvement.
